Does age difference really matter?

I am in a relationship with a man who is 13 yrs my junior. We love each other very much and currently live together. He has said before that he wants more children and i am willing to give him one. however it would have to be in the next year and that's too soon to bring a baby into a relationship that is so new. My heart wont let me leave and my head tells me to save myself some heartache down the road and just break it off now. I'm so confused at what to do. Any help would be appreciated. thanks
