I want to sell my house in India, how easy is the process ?

I am US citizen of Indian origin, I own a property in New Delhi India. I dont know anything about Indian legal system of selling and buying property. The house is in a very good neighborhood and property is very valuable. My concerns are , how hard is it to sell property in India, is it recommended to go thru a broker or sell it individually ? People have told me that buyers and brokers will try to scam you and will make u sign papers and scam sellers specially ones from overseas. How tru is that and what can I do to protect myself from being scamed. Please write if you have some experince in this area. Thanks and Regards
