Who was the old lady who used to dance on o'connell st.?

There were a few characters in Dublin 15 years ago when I worked there. I seldom travel in these days but I remember there used to be an old lady quite well dressed who used to dance with rosary beads on O'Connell Street. She isn't there anymore anytime I go to the capital and I think maybe she has died. She was quite mysterious because nobody ever knew much about her. I always wondered who she was and what was her backiground.
