My dad has been lying to me a lot. how can i get him to stop?

I love my dad.... and I live with him and stuff lol. But, he's been lying to me a lot lately, so he doesn't have to see me. Like a few days ago, he said he had to work all day, but really he wasn't at work, because i called and asked the people at his work if he was there.(and all the stores in our ares, because sometimes he has to go to another town or whatever.) They all said he wasn't gonna work all day that day...and then when he picked me up from my grandma's house(when he works all day, i go over there) it was about 10 PM and he said he had just gotten off of work, at one of the stores i called.... and he's lied about several other things.. and he missed out on thanksgiving because he said he had to work, and the store was CLOSED today... how can i get him to stop lying to me?! most of the time, it's just because he doesn't want to be around me, and he lies about other things..... we don't get a long very well, but i think he should tell the truth to me, if he loves me...
