Have you ever wondered why some people become racists?

What is the root of all of this? why do some people become racist? why did the KKK started hating black people and jews? why did Adolf Hitler started hating the jews. Why do so many people hate people from the middle east? why do so many Americans hate Mexicans etc etc so in short why do some people become racist?
