Chicken mourning, some help please! :)?

Im not entirely sure, though i had a similar situation. I had a few guinea pigs, and the one had gotten a brain tumour and was in a lot of pain so we had her put down, than the other refused to eat anything, including fresh vegetables, and ended up dying as well.
