Colt OP .38 cal 4" bbl SN:838xxx gd condition...value??

My Dad bought this Colt many years ago as a carry gun. I got it for my wife to carry, but she prefers her S&W Chiefs' .38. I'm trying to find out a fair value as I do now wish to keep the weapon.
