If losing the finals makes you less great....?

If Kobe was truly Jordan-esque (and believe me, i hate the comparison and don't think ti's fair to Kobe...but for arguement's sake:) he would have won the series by himself. I think that is the commentator's point. Jordan went up against great defenses. Some arguably better tahn the Celts' this year. And he dropped 50 on them.
