no, there is nothing wrong with feeling that way. evangelical christians and other extreme christian followers tend to be very ignorant and even intolerant towards other religious groups (especially muslims, because it is a relatively new religion in america), despite how hypocritical that is. if you really feel so strong about each other, then his parents views shouldnt get in the way. i wouldnt worry though, if they are good parents, they should eventually see how he feels about you and they had better start following what their religion teaches and being tolerant of other good people.
