Why does .41 Magnum not get the same widespread coverage as .357 or .44?
H gives a good history. It's one of my favorites for handgun hunting, and part of the reason it isn't as popular as the others is that it isn't as popular as the others: with such a small bit of the market, the choice of bullets is limited. It's a solid performer, but the police don't want anything so big and bulky (its original purpose), and if you're a handgun hunter, you'll buy it after, not instead of, the 44 magnum, and many people aren't going to buy a second revolver for such a specialized purpose.
